I want to express my deepest condolences to Marcella, Elizabeth, Hunter, Family, All of Tom's Friends, and very special person..Lisa Martin. Tommy and I have been life long friends since we first met in the 7th grade. We had countless experiences building and riding bicycles, minibikes, go karts, motorcycles and cars.. hunting, fishing, working, and just living and loving life together. We occasionally even got in to a little trouble. I loved Tom because he always made me smile. I moved out of state in 1970 but we continued to keep in contact via telephone and even managed an occasional short visit every few years or so if I was traveling through Little Rock. Somewhere around the mid 1970's I invited Tom to venture out and ride his legendary Kawasaki to Oklahoma City for a weekend visit and attend the National AMA motorcycle races. It was quite a job to convince him to make the trip. At that time I think Tommy thought Oklahoma was west of California since he seldom strayed very far from home. If you knew Tom well, then you know he was... what one might call..( directionally challenged ) LOL. I finally convinced him he could do it. First,I assured him that Arkansas and Oklahoma actually bordered each other and second, if he would Simply get on I40 West bound in Little Rock, stay on that road and not get off of it for any reason until he got to OKC, then stop there! call me from a pay phone, then I would come and get him. He agreed and somehow he actually made it.As always,we had a fantastic time. I hadn't seem Tom for quite a while so Last September I called him and suggested we meet in Fayetteville the first weekend in Oct. for a Motorcycle Rally. He said he was just to swamped with work and it would only put him further behind if he took the time off. A few days had gone by and out of the blue, he called me back and said he had a change of heart saying "life was to short to work all the time". He said count him in. So we decided to put our busy lives on hold long enough to meet in Fayetteville for the 2007 Bikes,Blues,BBQ Motorcycle Rally. We worked out the details of where and when we would meet up. He was supposed to meet me at a hotel in Bentonville around 4:00pm. We'll yep !, you guessed it, he had gotten a late start, side tracked in Fort Smith, and a little lost on the way up,he called a few times for directions saying he should be there in about an hour. He finally arrived about 11 hours later than he had originally intended. Thanks owed not by his sense of direction, but only because of modern cell phone technology. He finally rolled into the hotel parking lot on his Harley about 2:30am wearing sunglasses and flip flops in 45 degree weather. Sound like Tom? I just had to smile. He hadn't changed a bit.We stayed up the rest of the night reliving old times and planning the weekend adventures to come. We were there to ride and we did plenty of it. It was just like we were young again, not a care in the world. The weather was beautiful and so was the experience. I thank GOD for that last opportunity to be with by friend. I will cherish and remember it as long as I live. I'll miss Tom, but he is in a much better place now back together with friends and family that have gone before us. I'm sure he is busy making them all smile......especially GOD.

It seems like yesterday when I moved in with Tommy G and Bill Roth. I can remember so clearly the good times we had. Tom was a big brother to me and Bill my brother. I looked up to both of them. Then we lost Bill, a time of my life that has stuck with me to this day. Now it's Tom, It's times like this you wish you would have stayed in contact more. Tom, God saw you were getting tired and a cure was not to be, so he wraped his arms around you and whispered, come with me. Your in a better place now brother!

I was shocked and saddened to read of Tommy passing away. I had the opportunity to visit with him about a month or so ago. I left our visit commenting how good it was to see him again. Sometimes life is too short. I know he will be missed and our prayers are with family and friends.

I was dishearten to hear of Tom's passing. Sadly to say when people move far distances from each other we seem to lose the communication we once had. Tom & I have spent many good times together and I will always remember these times. My prayers go out to his mother, sister.

My brother and I spent once a month in Tom's barber chair during the late 70's and early 80's. I remember after every haircut Tom would say "Man, I'm good". One Christmas during the early 80's we presented Tom a wooden carving of his motto to place by the barber chair. My brother and I pitched in part of our allowance to pay for the little wooden sign that Tom seemed to be very proud of.

Tom was also one to share his stories in hopes of preventing us of making the mistakes he made have made. One of the stories that stuck with us was his love for motorcycles. We would beg our mom to buy us motorbikes and always knew to start the topic while at the barber shop. Tom would always chime in and eventually, mom broke down and bought us (2) Yamaha dirt bikes.

Thanks Tom!

Fortunately for all, Tommy had wealth at a young age, which he never bragged about. He always shared his hot rods:autos, cycles, boats, and his loving heart. My last time to see Tom, we took the Harley to get a cold one! I wish that I had the chance to take him offshore fishing with me to enjoy "Mother, Mother Ocean". Miss ya'll. Come see the Herron Gang before I go see Tommy. This place has some beautiful scenery in the summertime. My love and prayers be with you all. Bill,Becky,Elise,Nathan,Crystal and Brooke

We mourn with you over the passing of Tom. He will be remembered as one filled with an energetic spirit, a love for life, and real friendship. Although we weep at this moment, we can also rejoice at the thought of the eternity that can await us all. We remind all concerned that the end to life on this earth is not The End. We pray that all will call on the name of Jesus, be saved by His grace, and reunite one day in Heaven with The Father. We pray that God will bring healing to the families hearts.
