Biography: Virginia Louise Tiemann was born on August 25, 1927 and was 97 years old when she passed away peacefully with her dear friend Emily Lewis by her side on Friday, June 20, 2025. Virginia was the only child of Herman August Tiemann and Jennie Reyes Tiemann. She is survived by her cousins Brad and Soo Wise and Julie Huston from California. Virginia and her first cousin Betty Jeanne Romich (Brad and Julie's mother) grew up like sisters as neither had any siblings.
Virginia attended Little Rock Central High School and the University of Arkansas with a degree in History. She lived 96 of her 97 years in Little Rock with only a short year in Houston, TX for work, but she couldn't wait to return home and be near her parents and friends. Virginia's family might have been small but she had a very large group of friends that filled her life with lots of love and laughter. Virginia's friends span from school, church and work and she valued her friendships more than anything. After retiring from working for the IRS, she adopted a stray dog found on one of the highways and named her Rebecca and when Rebecca passed away, she got a little black poodle named Gigi. She didn't have children, but she loved her furry babies very much.
Virginia was a talented soul with a beautiful voice who sang in the church choirs and played the piano and accordion. Virginia loved to cook, knit beautiful sweaters and was an avid bridge player who hosted regularly.
