Biography: Lora Bell Shelby 101 Years Old passed 15 June 2025 at her daughter Bonne Lewis’ home in Piggott, Arkansas where she lived for eight of her last years, from natural causes.
Born on 25 September 1923 in Benton, Arkansas to parents, James and Carrie Bradford, she arrived with twin sister, Flora Dell with whom she spent many close years highlighted by a Hawaiian trip together that was the time of their lives.
Lora was preceeded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Shelby, parents, sisters, Ora, Clemmie, Emmie, Flora Dell, brother, Clarence, grandchildren, Erin Shelby Propst and John Shelby.
She is survived by daughter, Bonne Lewis (Bert) grandchildren, Miles Morley, Kirk Morley and Shelby (Brad) Graves, great grandchildren, Alexia, Kaitlyn, Emry and Cora Graves and step daughter, Haley (Chad) Allen and step son, Russell Lewis. Son, Jerry Shelby (Janice Shelby Altman) grandchild, Jennifer (Michael) Harris, great grandchildren, Julie Sanders, great great grandchildren, Josie and John Sanders, great grandchild, Jill Edwards, great great grandchildren Hartley Edwards and Paisley Edwards and great grandchild, Caroline Barnhill. Great grandchildren from mother, April (John) Shelby, Abby and Jackson Shelby. Son, Ronald Shelby (Regena) grandchildren, Abby (Chris) Goins, great grandchildren, Graham, Hutch and Reese Goins, grandson, Matthew (Jenny) Shelby, great grandchildren, Sawyer and Samuel Shelby.
Lora was a member of Mayflower Baptist Church and loved her Senior Citizens Group and Dorcas Sunday School class.
Graveside Service is at 1:00pm, Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Bethlehem Cemetery in Wooster, Arkansas. Arrangements are under the direction of RuebelFuneralHome.com
