Biography: John Wade Prather was born on March 20, 1941, in Greenville, Mississippi and passed away on June 16, 2025, in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Sr and Eutelle, and his son, Tony, as well as several dearly loved dogs.
John received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and worked for the Federal Government for 36 years. Atter retiring, John enjoyed many years as a Master Gardner in Pulaski County, AR.
John served in the Kairos prison program and participated in community bible study. John was very actively involved in his church. John is survived by Jane, his loving wife of 37 years, with whom he enjoyed traveling and camping.
Funeral services will be held at St. Andrews Anglican Church, 8300 Kanis Rd, Little Rock, AR on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 12 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of RuebelFuneralHome.com
