Biography: Maryann Phalen Berube, 79, of Little Rock, surrounded by family, passed away at her home on May 14, 2025. She was born June 7, 1945 to Wilbur and Mary (Phalen) Foster in Rutland, Vermont. Maryann graduated from Mount St. Joseph Academy in 1963. She attended the Fanny Allen School of Nursing and received her degree in 1964. She met and married Michael Berube in 1967. They had one daughter, Marilee. Maryann loved going to the beach with her family, entertaining, reading new recipes, and collecting depression glass. Maryann is survived by her husband and best friend of 58 years, Michael; a daughter, Marilee Fairman (Mark) of Little Rock and her pride and joy, a grandson, Matthew. At Maryann’s request, no service will be held.                                                                                 

A columbarium interment at Christ the King Catholic Church will be scheduled at a later date. A mass for Maryann will take place on June 7, at 8:00 am, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Little Rock. To honor Maryann’s memory, donations may be made to Best Friends Animal Society at bestfriends.org and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
