Biography:

C. Thomas Wahl, age 82, was born October 19, 1942, in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Baba Lane and Nathan Wahl.  He departed this life on May 2, 2025 at UAMS in Little Rock.  He was a retired financial advisor of 30 years with roughly equal time spent helping clients and friends at Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley.  During the 1957-58 Little Rock school closings, Tom lived with his grandparents and attended DeWitt High School.  When schools reopened, he was part of the first graduating class of 1960 from Hall High in Little Rock and enjoyed helping with high school class reunions. He graduated from Little Rock University in 1966.

Tom enjoyed genealogy and was a descendant of a strong pioneering family who migrated from Germany to the United States in the 1850’s.  He loved time with his family and friends and a good game of golf or tennis.  Always up for a card game, he became an avid bridge player, a Silver Life Master of the American Bridge League, and was loved and respected by his partners and opponents at the Little Rock Bridge Club.  Ever the competitor, he also won a gold medal in the table tennis event for the 2023 Arkansas Senior Olympics.  He will forever be in our hearts.

Survivors include his children; Karen Goodman of Bryant and Matt (Liz) Wahl of Little Rock; three grandchildren, Lawson Goodman, Zachary Wahl and Benjamin Wahl as well as his sister, Barbara (Jim) McDaniel of North Little Rock, AR.

There will be a graveside service at Forest Hills Cemetery on Friday, May 9th at 1pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to “The Bridge House” at 7415 Indiana Avenue, Little Rock, AR 72207.
