Biography: Marjorie "Jill" Rensch, born October 5, 1933, in St. Louis, Mo., the daughter of Ralph and Fame Maisel, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 25, 2025.

Jill was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward Rensch Jr.; her brothers, Robert Maisel and Jack Maisel; and her sisters, Marietta Smith and Alice Nagel.

Jill lived a long, happy, and fulfilling life. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend who cherished her family deeply. Her children and grandchildren were the loves of her life, and she also held her friends close to her heart. Jill treasured her friendships throughout her life, always nurturing the bonds that meant so much to her.

She had a true passion for nursing. Jill attended Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois, St. Louis University, and later the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, where she received her degree in Nursing. She worked for many years at St. Vincent Infirmary, providing compassionate care to countless patients. Even after retiring, she often spoke of how much she missed her work and the people she served.

Jill and her husband, Ed, enjoyed a wide circle of dear friends and traveled often together. Jill was an active and social person—she was a member of a bridge club for over 50 years and later learned to play mah-jongg, enjoying weekly games. She and Ed were also longtime members of Pleasant Valley Country Club, where they made many wonderful memories.

Jill is survived by her daughter, Allison Staten; her son, Todd Rensch; her grandchildren, Michael Grimes (Cortney) and Parker Staten; her great-grandson, Benjamin Grimes; and her grandson, Michael Zotti. She also leaves behind her much-loved granddog Swayze; and her nieces, Cindy Burris and Nancy Scott.
Jill's warmth, kindness, and love for life touched everyone who knew her. Her legacy of love, family, friendship, and service will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

A private prayer service will be held for family only to honor her life.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jill’s honor may be made to the CARTI Foundation 8901 CARTI Way, Little Rock, Ark. 72205, or St. Andrew’s Cathedral 617 S Louisiana St, Little Rock, Ark. 72201. Arrangements are under the direction of RuebelFuneralHome.com
