and served as a flight surgeon with the United States Air Force.

A native of Arkadelphia and a proud graduate of Arkadelphia High
School, Mack graduated from the University of Arkansas in
Fayetteville. He was a  member of the varsity golf team and president
of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity where he made lifelong friends.
After completing his undergraduate studies, he earned his medical
degree from UAMS where he also completed residencies in surgery and
urology.

While participating in a rotating internship at Jackson Memorial

personalized patient care for people of all ages and from all walks of
life.

In 1970 he joined Dr. James Headstream, Dr. Johnson Baker and
Dr. Charles Logan in the practice of urology at Urology Associates.
In 2000 Urology Associates merged with other groups to form
Arkansas Urology.

Mack was a gifted surgeon but he was also gifted in his ability to
explain and help others understand medical issues they were facing.
Throughout his life and career, he inspired and mentored many others.
His patients and their families became his friends. Mack's life was
enriched through his many friends and interests and in turn he
enriched the lives of countless others.

In 2015 he received the James Headstream Memorial Award from  the
Arkansas Urologic Society.. In 2021 during the celebration of the 25th
anniversary of Arkansas Urology, the Dr. Mack Moore Health
Fund was established honoring his years of medical service including
the fight against prostate cancer.

He was a longtime active member of Pulaski Heights United Methodist
Church; past chair of the Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation; past
chair of the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory Board and served on the
Arkansas Racing Commission.

Rock where he pursued his love for golf and enjoyed the fellowship
with family and friends. In 2012 he was inducted in the Arkansas
State Golf Hall of Fame.

The True Gentleman:

"The True Gentleman is the man whose conduct proceeds from good will
and an acute sense of propriety, and whose self-control is equal to
all emergencies, who does not make the poor man conscious of his
poverty, the obscure man of his obscurity, or any man of his
inferiority or deformity; who is himself humbled if necessity compels
him to humble another, who does not flatter wealth, cringe before
power, or boast of his own possessions or achievements, who speaks
with frankness but always with sincerity and sympathy, whose deed
follows his word; who thinks of the rights and feelings of others,
rather than his own and who appears well in any company, a man with
whom honor is sacred and virtue safe."

Dear Barbara and family,
Mack did personify the epitome of a True Gentleman!! In his profession and in his life, he was such a role model!! I talked last to him at Billy Moore’s visitation. Funny, Billy had the ability to get Mack out of his comfort zone; they certainly enjoyed each other!!
May God show you all His grace, mercy and shalom peace!!
All my love, Carrie Clifford

I sure hope Mack can give Billy a few pointers for his golf game in heaven. I’m sure they are laughing and having a very nice time together.

I am so sorry for your loss. My Daddy (Dr. William Jones) had an office on the 7th floor of "the" Doctor's Building, as a teenager in the seventies I worked many summers for the Urology Associates. Dr Moore was always so kind. I know Daddy thought the world of him. Sending love and holding you all tight in my heart.
