Biography: It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Foy Erwin, a devoted husband, proud father, and doting grandfather, who left us on Friday, February 7th, 2025 at the age of 62.

Born in Little Rock on January 2nd, 1963, Robert was a caring man with a big heart, a dedicated father, and an avid sportsman who always found joy in the outdoors, a good tinkering project, the pages of a historical book, and the laughter of his cherished grandchildren. His love story with his wife, Tricia, was inspiring, and was a testament to the depth of his devotion. Whether he was sharing stories, shooting ducks at hole 6, or simply sitting in the comfort of his home surrounded by loved ones watching his birds, he lived each moment to the fullest, making everyone around him laugh and feel like the most important people in the world.

Robert was a member of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral where he attended The Cathedral School and served as an Acolyte. He graduated from Catholic High School for Boys in 1981 and went on to conclude his studies at Baylor University in 1985 with a degree in accounting.  He began his public accounting career in Fort Worth, Texas with a national accounting firm for a short time, before returning to Little Rock to join his family’s accounting practice Erwin & Company.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Patricia Foy Erwin and Harry Charles Erwin and grandson, Charlie Erwin. He is survived by Tricia Erwin, his beloved wife of 8 years; his sister, Patricia Dee Vinson, and by his brother, Chuck, and his wife, Terri. He is survived by his children: Kate Bilheimer and her husband, Christian; Patrick Erwin and his wife, Sarah; Elly Elliott and her husband, Philip; and Grace Erwin and her partner, Seth Bankston. He is also survived by his adored grandchildren: Arden and John Stephen Bilheimer, Michal Beth and Mitchell Erwin, Witten and Lilah Ann Elliott; and many other family members and dear friends who will miss him profoundly.

Though he is no longer with us in body, his love, stories, and legacy will live on in the hearts of everyone who loved him.

A private family burial will be held and officiated by The Reverend Danny Schieffler of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ruebel Funeral Home, www.ruebelfuneralhome.com.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
