Biography: Jada Ann Aitchison, 68, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away on January 14, 2025. Born on
September 27, 1956, in Hornell, New York, to Hector and Virginia Aitchison, Jada was a beloved
sister, aunt, and friend.
She is survived by her brother, Phillip Aitchison, her nephew, Brooks
(Maddie) Aitchison, her great-nephew, Rens Aitchison, and many loving friends.
Jada earned an undergraduate degree in English and a Master of Library Science from the
University at Albany in Albany, New York, before moving to Little Rock to pursue a forty-year
career as a law librarian at the UALR William H. Bowen School of Law. She was passionate
about books and could typically be found strolling the aisles at WordsWorth Books in the
Heights.
A longtime volunteer at CARE for Animals in Little Rock, Jada cared deeply about cats and
rescued many over the years. She was greatly loved and will be missed by many.
