Biography:

Barbara Ann Schirack passed away peacefully on November 27, 2024, in Little Rock, Arkansas.  She was born on February 17, 1949 in Buffalo, New York.  Barbara also lived in New York City, New York; Denver, Colorado; Westerville, Ohio; and spent the last 40 years in Little Rock, Arkansas.  Barbara is survived by her two children and their spouses, David Schirack (Sarah), and Lori Good (Bryce).  She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren; Sophie, Anna, and Luke Schirack; and Kylie and Ella Good.  She is preceded in death by her mother, Louise Barnoski, grandmother Agnes Radecki, and uncle Frank Siuta Jr.

True to her native Western New York roots, Barbara was a worker, working up until two weeks prior to her death.  She worked a variety of occupations from stewardess for Trans World Airlines, operating room tech, front desk clerk at the Denver Marriott, and long-time employee of the Crown Shop in Little Rock.  For the past 40 years, Barbara worked as an administrative assistant in a number of schools and churches.  Everybody knew “Ms. Schirack”, or “Barb”, and everybody loved her.  Barbara was a member of St James United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and played handbells for over 30 years, music was her outlet.

Barbara’s biggest accomplishment was raising her two children and watching them build their families.  Recently, her life revolved around her grandchildren.  She enjoyed being “Grandma” or “G-Maw”, and never missed a sporting event, dance recital, awards ceremony, or Grandparent’s Day.  When not spending time with her family, Barbara loved to travel with her friend, Lois Roberto, on a Little Rock Tours bus trip.

A memorial service to honor Barbara’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 17, at St James United Methodist Church.  She will be laid to rest at the Columbarium inside the church.

Sending my condolences to the family. She was friends with my Mother In Law (Else Clinton) for many years. She had the biggest smile.

Your Mother will remain in our hearts and memories forever.
I miss her dearly.
Our times together were priceless. We had so much fun traveling together and making new friends.
Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day.
Love you like a Sis,

Mom,

I will love you forever and ever and ever. I pray you’re dancing and singing in the arms of Jesus, and pray that you always know how much you meant to us, how much you sacrificed for us and how much you loved us.

I do not know a parent in the world who could love their children and grandchildren more, and for that, I’m thankful.

Fly high, Mom. Until we meet again, hold the fort down and hug the ones we’ve lost, but love. In the meantime, I’ll do my best to make you proud.

Thank you, GOD, for blessing my life with the most amazing, compassionate and loving human being that has ever walked this Earth.

I love you, mom.

Love,
Lori
XOXO
