Biography: John Charles Wilson, 74 of Little Rock, peacefully passed away on November 25, 2024, at his hunting club.
He was born on July 21, 1950, to Hartwell T. Wilson and Jess Curl Wilson in Helena, Arkansas and raised in Little Rock. He graduated from Hall High School and attended one semester at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville prior to joining the U.S. Marine Corp where he deployed to Vietnam.
After service, he graduated from the University of Arkansas (UALR) and became a registered respiratory therapist. Prior to the birth of his son, he graduated from the University of Arkansas School of Law with a Juris doctor degree.
John is preceded in death by his parents Hartwell (Sonny) and Jess Wilson and brother Hart. He is survived by his wife Ann of 46 years, children Jessica (Brian) Santucci and Matthew Wilson, one granddaughter Abigail Santucci, brothers-in-laws Don Dust, Richard (Melissa) Dust, Mike (Judy) Dust, Greg (Karen) Dust, and Scott Dust and one sister-in law Kathy Dust, one aunt Glenna Curl, and nephews, nieces, and many cousins.
John was an avid duck hunter, loved gardening, fishing, and reading, especially war history.
A celebration of life ceremony will be held on December 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Ruebel Funeral Home, 6313 W Markham St., Little Rock AR 72205.
