Biography: Paul Richard Ferris (59) passed away on December 2nd in Little Rock, AR.
He is predeceased by his sister Kathleen Murphy.
He is survived by his parents Dr. Ernest & Alice Ferris. His sister Susan Ferris and his brother Donald Ferris (Amber). He also leaves behind many nephews and nieces as well aunts, uncles and cousins.
His beloved dogs (who are being cared for) and his friends.
He did not want any service but requested his body be donated to UAMS for the Anatomical Gift program (https://medicine.uams.edu/neuroscience/anatomical-gift-program/)
In lieu of any flowers please plant a tree in Paul's name.

Dr and Mrs Ferris,
I learned of Pauls passing on Dec 2. I spoke with him the day prior via text. Paul was a long time friend from HS and we have probably 10 000 texts about Hockey over the past 15 years. I will always remember the teip.he took and we met up at the Winter Classic and his Bs got payback over my Hawks. I am so terribly sorry and broken to learn he is gone. He was a great friend and I'm sorry I was recovering from a surgery and didn't followup on the unanswered texts I've sent since Dec. I am so sad Paul is gone.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Ferris,
Paul was and will always be my true friend. He accepted me and everyone around him exactly as we are. There were no "conditions" attached to being loved by Paul. His friendship was unconditional. I send you my deepest, deepest sympathy. The world has shifted on its axis without Paul walking among us. I will never forget him and will love him forever. If there is a life beyond this one, I am quite sure my mother met him at the gate and took him and his sister to the casino. :-)

Ed and I were saddened to learn of Paul’s death. The picture of him in the paper was of how I always like to remember him. Our condolences and prayers.

I remember working with Paul when I was a resident and junior faculty at UAMS. He helped me on numerous projects. He was fun to work and be with. He will be missed. My deepest condolences to his family.
