Biography: Hazel Josephine Cox Schwartz Choquette, age 97, died November 22, 2024 in Little Rock, Arkansas.  Hazel was born April 25, 1927 in Muncie, Indiana and moved to Saint Petersburg, Florida in 1957. She was employed at E-Systems (now Raytheon) for 30 years.  After her second husband Doc Choquette died she moved to Little Rock in 2011 so she could be closer to her son Richard Schwartz.

She is predeceased by both her children, Richard Schwartz and Lana Newkirk;  4 brothers, Leroy Stone, Elmer, Robert, and Russell Cox;  1 sister, Janet Noel and one great granddaughter, Megan Schwartz.

Surviving Hazel are Cathy Schwartz and Terry Newkirk.  5 Grandchildren, Chuck Schwartz, Kelly Pfeifer, Julie Adams, Lisa Newkirk, Jenny Newkirk, 13 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was a lifelong member of Liberty Baptist Church in Saint Petersburg, Florida. Her service will be at Memorial Park Mortuary in Saint Petersburg. Arrangements are under the direction of RuebelFuneralHome.com

Aunt hazel will be missed we talked at times alot about nascar she was a big fan. I will miss our talks. She always tryed to get me to say she was my favorite aunt. God speed to you.

i GOT TO KNOW hAZEL THIS SUMMER WHEN i VISITED HER, TOOK HER SHOPPING ATWALMART, AND GENERALLY ENJOYED HER LAUGH AND HE LIGHT-HEARTED SPIRIT. SHE WAS A WONDERFUL LADY... MAY SHE REST IN PEACE. PRAYERS AND SYMPATHY FOR HER FAMILY
