So sorry to hear of Gilbert’s passing. He was a dear, and close friend and a fellow motorcycle rider. We had many good times, together and I spent a lot of time at his (parents) PineManor home. Rest in peace, Gilbert.

Gilbert was a childhood and longtime friend of my brother Brinton. Two years ago I sent Gilbert a box of my family’s vintage, turn of the century, spectacles to add to Gilbert’s eyeglass collection. Gilbert sent me old photos of my brother. I sincerely appreciated and enjoyed the communication, his kindness and thoughtfulness. Condolences to the family and particularly to my classmate Harry Cohen.
