My heart is very heavy. I adored Mary and she was my go to person when she had her stationery store and always the one to talk to at Diane’s when I needed to send an order or reserve us our favorite key lime pie! Always kind, thoughtful, reliable and interested in how things were with us and our family. She was a pleasure to know and easy to love. RIP dear dear Mary Russell. You will be much missed by me and so many others!

Mary was the absolute best person all around. She was almost like a therapist at times talking through so many life situations. She was always there to listen and offer great, thoughtful advice. The world will definitely not shine as brightly without Mary. So sad to learn this very unraveling news. Sending my deepest condolences to her beloved family.

I knew Mary from the Rose Law Firm, to Papers, to Diane’s. What an awesome friend. She was a valuable friend, pet sat for us, helped organize parties, but one of the best memories was when we were house hunting. We looked and looked and laughed and laughed. Mary knew exactly what she wanted and wasn’t taking anything but the perfect home. Well we found it. And Mary loved her home and the neighborhood. The day before Mary passed away I received a birthday card from her. How’s that for an angel. I will miss her, her incredible knowledge of every imaginable subject, her sense of humor, her heartfelt friendship. As her obituary read, loving her was easy, losing her is hard.

Judy, my heart aches for you and the family. The world is a better place because of Mary. I first got to know her through her invitation business. She had the best dinner parties and always gave me confidence when I had my own. Gosh we are really going to miss her. So true, loving her was easy losing her is hard.

I had the honor of being counted as a friend to dear Mary these past two years at Diane’s. When I left for a trip home to England she gave me a card which said “have a wonderful time with your family and don’t worry about us, we are tough old birds” and my gosh she certainly was. A true gem and beautiful soul. I will forever treasure our short time together. Love you always Mary.
