Biography: Betty Jo Mabry, 87, of Little Rock, passed away Monday, July 15th, 2024.

Betty was born on July 25, 1936, in Yell County, Arkansas to the late Marie Brasier. She grew up in Little Rock and graduated from Little Rock Central High School where she was a member of the band. Betty went on to be an X Ray Technician which is where she met her soulmate, Jerry Mabry. They shared a 55-year marriage and had two daughters they adored- Shawn and Michele. Betty and Jerry did everything together: traveling, going to the lake, gardening, and attending Razorback games. She has now finally been reunited with her beloved husband.

Betty always had a smile on her face, and she loved her family unconditionally. A prime example is how generous she was with her time with her children and grandchildren who knew her as “Mimi”. She was there for everything- a sporting event, milestones, and hard times. Betty was a positive light in all their lives and will be missed.

Betty was proceeded in death by her mother, Marie Brasier and her husband Jerry Mabry. She is survived by two daughters, Shawn (Buddy) Olsen and Michele (Mark) Meadors; four grandchildren Connor (Juli) Olsen, Brandon Olsen, Mabry Meadors, and Elizabeth Meadors; and one great grandchild Asher Lee Olsen.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, July 19, at Riverwood Memorial Gardens  in Maumelle, Arkansas. A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 18, from 5:00-7:00 at Ruebel Funeral Home in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Shawn, I'm sorry for your loss. I've always remembered you fondly after our UALR days. It was during that time that I lost my mom. You will always miss her.
