Dorothy Pattee Nickerson, 91, of Hot Springs went home to be with the Lord on June 2, 2024.

Dorothy was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on November 13, 1932.  She attended college at Mississippi State College for Women, after which she married the love of her life, Bill Nickerson.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bill Nickerson, her parents Theodore and Christine Pattee and her brother Lee Pattee.  She is survived by her children Tena Owens and Trudy Wilkes (John), grandchildren Chris Gamble, Stephen Gamble and Jason Owens and one great granddaughter, Abigayle Gamble.

Dorothy worked for many years in her father’s printing company.  She loved games of all kinds including video games.  It was a sure bet if the grandkids were around you would catch her right in the middle of them playing Nintendo.  She was an avid Arkansas Razorback fan, especially Razorback basketball.  She loved animals of all kinds and had many pet dogs throughout her life.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Pinecrest Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to your local animal shelter or Westminster Presbyterian Church in Hot Springs. Arrangements are under the direction of RuebelFuneralHome.com
