Biography: William Morris Lloyd died suddenly of a stroke on May 27, 2024. Bill was born in Atlanta, GA on February 1, 1952 to Lt. Colonel Richard and Dolores Lloyd.

Bill thrived growing up in the adventurous life of a military family, living in many interesting cities until settling in Little Rock after falling in love with and marrying Adele East in 1975.

Bill is survived by his wife, Adele, daughter Mollie (Brent) and his son Josh. Grandchildren Emma Tribell, Hayes Tribell, Owen Lloyd, Natalee Dyess, Reid Birch, Fuller Birch, his beloved pup, Sister and also his ‘work wife’ Felicia Hogue. Surviving siblings are Mel Frantz (Gary), Richard Lloyd, Patti Leonard (Allen), brother-in-law, Jack East (Maryann), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Affectionately called, Poppy by his family, he loved sailing the British Virgin Islands, Greers Ferry Lake and strumming his guitar while sipping an ice-cold Busch Light. Poppy was a lifetime athlete, college scholarship football player and became an avid runner in adulthood. He even completed the New York City Marathon in 1991. Later in life he enjoyed his hard-earned retirement days at the cabin on the Little Red River with Adele.

Bill began his successful financial investment career on October 19, 1987, (infamously referred to as Black Monday). Not to be discouraged, he established the W.M. Lloyd Company; offering sound financial advice and guidance to his many grateful clients as a Certified Financial Planner.

A celebration of life will be Tuesday, June 11 from 5-7 p.m. at Ruebel Funeral Home, 6313 W Markham Street, Little Rock, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Bill Lloyd to CARE for Animals, ACCESS Academy or a charity of your choice.  Arrangements are under the direction of RuebelFuneralHome.com

Adele and family - we are the long lost Wagner cousins that you've barely seen and hardly ever hear from and that is such a shame. I was so saddened to learn of Billy's passing. He was 5 years younger than I and he should still be here. It sounds as though he had a busy and wonderful life and that his family was the center of it. I do wish I had kept in touch with him and you. Please know that I extend my sincere sympathy to all of you and send my love.

Bill as a "real" human being who bestowed kindness on others. I never once heard him complain and he was always smiling. He cared about his clients and always did the right thing by them.

I have no doubt that Bill is talking with the Angels.

May God be with his family at this time but be rest assured that he is in a far better place.
