So sorry to learn of Tom's death and disappointed to miss his funeral service, I join many others who enjoyed his company and admired his commitments to many organizations improving and sustaining our community. Despite his great activity, he did not boast about them in our conversations during lunches at the Rotary Club of West Little Rock. I am grateful to have know Tom and cannot imagine how much his family misses him. To them and other friends my wish is for peace in his passing and appreciation for his life.

Ann-my thoughts and prayers are with you; of course, I know you know that. I will see you tomorrow; but I wanted to say how often I have thought about Brett and Ben. They were buddies; and I think they will be there to welcome Brett's daddy. I'll be looking for you tomorrow. Love to you and your family. Anne

Dear Ann, Kim and family,

I was so sorry to hear of Tom’s passing. After growing up next door to y’all my entire childhood, I was reading Tom’s obituary and just now realized that I never had any idea what Tom did for a living. But I have so many fond childhood memories I would love to share.

One of my earliest memories is riding with Beth in the very tiny backwards seat of Tom’s red MGB with the top down. We must have been about 5 or 6 for both of us to fit in that tiny seat!

When I was around 9 or 10, Tom taught all of us kids how to change a tire on a car. He made us do it from beginning to end all by ourselves. To this day, that was the only formal training I ever had and sure enough, I got stranded one day when I was 4 months pregnant and had to change my tire all by myself. Luckily I remembered Tom’s instruction and made it home safely!

I also remember when Tom was in the National Guard and he would fly over the circle in his helicopter and wave to us kids. It was so exciting!

I also remember washing the cars in the driveway that he used to sell-ambulances, limos, and hearses. We felt really important to be trusted with this important job.

So many fond memories. I pray that God will bless you all with his peace and comfort, I know you miss him so much.

Tom and I were classmates at North Little Rock High School and also comrades in the Army National Guard. Recently, we both were a part of a group of classmates that occasionally met for fellowship over a pizza lunch. He was a kind gentle soul that brought a good feeling and encouragement to those around him. I will miss his friendship and pray for God's peace and comfort for his family. RIP my friend!!

Rosalie and I extend our sincere wishes for you to have peace and reassurance at this time and going forward.
May I add that Tom sponsored me into Rotary in 2011 and over and over has encouraged me at 2nd Presbyterian and been a source of good cheer. He also understood disabilities and helped our church to be accessible and disability-aware. I had a chance to meet several members of your family at December's Christmas Eve service. He invited me to be part of an adult Sunday School class zoomed from our church as well. I'll miss him.
