Biography: Judith Ann Collins, age 78, of Little Rock, passed away in her home on Thursday, May 23rd, 2024. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

Judy was born in Conway, Arkansas, an only child to George and Hazel Hambuchen on January 29th, 1946. She graduated a homecoming queen from St. Joseph Catholic School and attended State College of Arkansas in Conway. She was a member of the Sigma Kappa sorority, where she earned degrees in literature and history.

During her sophomore year, she met and fell in love with Bob Collins of Cherokee Village, Arkansas. They were married on June 15th, 1967, and their union flourished for 56 years. Judy and Bob simply loved spending time together and considered it a privilege to lovingly care for each other. If you knew Judy you knew how kind and loving she was to everyone around her and how important her children, grandchildren and family were to her. She dedicated her life to being a homemaker and creating a loving space for her family to come together and visit.

She was a lifelong member of Christ the King Church, where she volunteered and lead a group of Marthas Meals for over 20 years. She was a voracious reader of books and always had a who-done-it or a thriller close at hand. She enjoyed movies, movie stars, Barbara Streisand and loved home renovation shows. She loved traveling with her husband and close friends as well as spending time with her family across the country. She was known to her grandchildren as Granny and her brownies were legendary.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Alexander Collins. She leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter, Lisa McGuire and husband Jansen of Dallas, Texas, a son Rob Collins and wife Uma of Los Angeles, California, and three grandsons, Matt McGuire, Will McGuire and Julian Collins.

Words cannot express how much she was loved, respected, and admired.  She will be missed dearly.

A celebration of life for Judy Collins will be held on Wednesday, May 29th, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4000 North Rodney Parham Road, Little Rock, Arkansas. A rosary will be said at 9:30am and a funeral mass at 10:00am. A reception will follow the mass. Arrangements are under the direction of RuebelFuneralHome.com
