Biography: Amanda Joan Osborne Butta, age 25, of Little Rock, died November 29, 2007. She was born in Little Rock, where she graduated from Mount St. Mary Academy before receiving her Bachelor of Science degrees in Physics and Geology at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She was working towards her Masters degree. Amanda will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Left to cherish her memory are her loving mother, Francine Butta Newman and her husband Joe Newman of Little Rock, three sisters, Amy Osborne Butta, Anna and Emily Newman, brother, Gabe Newman, all of Little Rock, aunt, Karen Dewalt and husband Lester of Upper Arlington, Ohio, three uncles, Salvatore Butta of Buffalo, New York, Phil Butta, Jr. of Connecticut, James Gerard of North Little Rock, grandparents, Philip J. Butta and Joan Hayden Butta. There will be a Rosary said 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, at the Ruebel Funeral Home Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4 at Our Lady of the Holy Souls Catholic Church, officiated by Monsignor Royce Thomas.
