Biography: Barbara MacGuigan Polite, 79, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 20, 2023. She is survived by her two sons, Glen (DeeDee) Polite and Ryan (Lileith) Polite, and two grandchildren.
She was an elder of First Presbyterian Church in Little Rock and an active volunteer in their Stew Pot, Adopt-a-Street, and Clothes Closet community programs.
A remembrance ceremony will be held at First Presbyterian Church on Sunday, January 7, 2024, at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to First Presbyterian Church. Arrangements are under the direction of RuebelFuneralHome.com

Barbara touched our family in so many ways. She was a beautiful person (inside and out). Her unwavering care for our church and the less fortunate was an inspiration to all of us. Our prayers are with everyone that loved Barbara. Philip, Karen, Elliot, Mitchel & Kendal

What a wonderful woman! She mentored so many during her career at LRPD, including me. I will always be grateful to her for her kindness and her knowledge while working with her so many years ago. She was always so incredibly supportive of those who truly wanted to learn. I adored her as she was an absolute joy to be around. My deepest sympathies to her family during this most difficult time. Prayers are extended to the family. Barbara was an exceptional mother and servant of our Lord. She was a great friend to me for over 35 years. She will be missed by many past co-workers in the criminal justice community.
