Biography:

 

Kenneth Wayne Eddy, 75, of Little Rock, Ark., passed away peacefully on Nov. 23, 2023. He was born in Magnolia, Ark., on May 21, 1948, to the late Kenneth and Dorothy Eddy. 

Wayne earned an undergraduate degree from Southern Arkansas University and later earned a master’s degree in counseling from the University of Arkansas. 

He spent 33 years as a commissioned officer in the Arkansas State Police. He served in several divisions, spending the majority of his career in personnel and training and retired with the rank of major.

Wayne was an avid hunter and outdoorsman and cherished his numerous and memorable father-daughter hunting trips. His love of nature and the outdoors was only surpassed by his love for family and friends. 

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Dorothy Eddy, and is survived by his wife, Bonnie Eddy, daughter Rachel (Eddy) and Firas Junaid, grandson Jude, and brothers Danny Eddy of Ruston, La. and Gerry Eddy of Magnolia, Ark.

A celebration of life and memorial service will be held in the chapel of the Fellowship Bible Church, located at 1401 Kirk Road, Little Rock, Ark. 72223 on Saturday December 2, 2023. Visitation begins at 9:00 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Fellowship Bible Church of West Little Rock. Remember Major Eddy from our days at the ASP. He was always very professional and very straight forward. Prayers for the family!!

Bonnie I’m sure sorry about hearing about Wayne. We sure had good times back in the day. He was a true friend of mine. You both were our witnesses at our wedding ceremony 36 years ago. I am so going to miss him, even though we haven’t stayed in touch. I pray that you and your family can heal over this loss. We are thinking of you.
