Biography:
Matthew Connors Thomas, beloved son, brother, uncle, father, and friend, departed this world on November 18th, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and unwavering optimism. Connors was born on May 10th, 1990, in Little Rock, to his devoted parents, Vincent Evans Thomas (deceased in 1994) and Lesa Madden Thomas, now a dedicated partner of Charles Lincoln. He leaves his cherished one year-old son Luke Henry Thomas and Luke’s mom Bernae Cash, along with his beloved brother Jake Thomas. Connors and Bernae shared a bond of dedication and love, nurturing a future filled with hope.
Connors attended Catholic High School where his spirit thrived, shaping his unwavering devotion to God and family. Connors was deeply intertwined with the vibrant nature of Arkansas. He found solace amidst the outdoors, where he'd often wander, finding peace on the rivers with his canoe and his dog, Champ. A fanatic devotee of the Arkansas Razorbacks, he cheered them passionately and his spirit was undampened even through seasons of few triumphs and many trials.
Connors revered his “Team Thomas” extended family of four uncles and aunt – Skip, Barry, Bob, John and Missy. He was one of 20 cousins who he immensely adored. Many childhood memories will be cherished from holidays at the Thomas homestead, weekends at the Prim Cabin, family ski trips, Fools Fest in Mountain View and canoeing the Sylamore Creek and many Arkansas rivers. Though he may have departed from our sight, his laughter, his love, and his indomitable spirit will forever echo in our hearts.
Connors was predeceased by his father Vince Thomas, grandparents Harold and Charlene Madden, aunt Cherri Madden King, uncle John Paul Madden and cousin Alex King.
Also surviving are his grandparents Jerry Thomas, M.D. and Evelyn Thomas, and uncles Harold Madden and Scott Avery.
