Biography: Robert Gerald (Jerry) Parham Jr. died on November 1st, 2023, in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born September 24th, 1942, in Fordyce, Arkansas to Vivian Frances Parham and Robert Gerald Parham and was preceded in death by his parents, brother John Richard Parham, and grandparents John and Mattie Massey, and Annie and Hunter Parham.

Jerry graduated from Camden High School in 1960 where he enjoyed playing sports, particularly football. He then attended the University of Arkansas where he was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. Jerry worked in investment banking and sales in Arkansas and California. He was a member of St James United Methodist Church in Little Rock.  Jerry was very much a people person who never met a stranger. He loved his church community, and he especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was the life of every party.

Jerry is survived by his children Greg Parham (Carol), Melanie Fox (Jeff), and Janis Thibault (Scott) and sister Carolyn Parham Young (Mike) all of Little Rock, Arkansas. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Kyle Parham, Seth Parham, Davis Fox (Kennady), Madison Fox, Jack Thibault, Anne Thibault, and nephews Matthew Young (Beth) and Joseph Young (Kallie). He is also survived by his beloved cat Smokey and a band of close-knit cousins. 

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 6th at 10am at Ruebel Funeral home in Little Rock with Rev. Ben Crismon officiating followed by a visitation. A private graveside burial will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Temperance Hill Cemetery Association, 1423 W. Highway 8, Fordyce, Arkansas 71792. I was proud to be a pledge brother and full fraternity brother with Jerry. It is sad to learn of his death and I send condolences to the entire family.

I am so saddened to learn of Jerry’s passing. He was one of my favorite Central Arkansas Sig Alumni brothers! I send my deepest condolences to his family.

Jerry was always a good friend to me & could ve depended upon. Instrumental & encouraged me to pledge EX at Uof A. Always enjoyed our brief visits here in LR!
