Biography: Eugene (Gene) Gustavous Eberle III, 69 of Little Rock, died unexpectedly Monday, September 11, 2023 in his home.
Gene was born in Memphis, TN on the 14th of September 1953. His parents moved back to Little Rock with Gene in 1954. Gene attended the Jean Anthony school before attending Pulaski Heights. Gene spent his high school years attending The Baylor Military School in Chattanooga, TN., graduating in 1971. Attending the University of Arkansas, Gene was their first Left footed Kicker his Freshman year for the Razorbacks, graduating in 1975.

Following graduation, he moved to Summit County, CO where he worked as a coal miner by summer and ski lift operator by winter, to purchase lift tickets to do what he loved most, snow sking. His love for the golf course allowed him to establish many treasured friendships over his lifetime.

In 1978 Gene moved back to Arkansas starting his career and meeting Lou Ellen Stevens and having their daughters, Elizabeth and Anna.

Gene enjoyed meeting people and his personable personality added to his success as an award winning Real Estate Broker, for many consistent years. He was incredibly driven and dedicated to his profession.

He is preceded in death by his mother Charlotte Rosalie Simmen Floyd, his father Eugene Gustavous Eberle Jr. and his brother William (Bill) August Eberle. He is survived by his sister Barbara (Barbee) Elizabeth James of Los Angeles, CA., his former wife of 22 years Lou Ellen Stevens of Little Rock, his daughters Mary Elizabeth Eberle of Jonesboro, AR, Anna Spencer Eberle of Boise, ID, and his granddaughter Lillian August Crowell of Boise, ID. Two nephews and a great nephew of Los Angeles, CA.

A memorial service will be held Friday, September 22nd at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church located at 1000 N Mississippi Street, Little Rock, 72207 at 1 pm with a reception to follow. Arrangements are under the direction of RuebelFuneralHome.com

Gene has been a friend for over sixty years. We played many rounds of golf over the years. He was a kind person who genuinely cared for others. He will be greatly missed. My prayers are with the family as the grieve the loss of their father.
