Biography: Betty Jean Combs Moore of Little Rock died Saturday, September 16, 2023, at age 94. She was the only child of Jeanette Welch and John Perry Combs of Jessamine County, Kentucky. Betty Jean graduated from Sayre School, Lexington, Kentucky and Agnes Scott College of Decatur, Georgia.
 
Betty Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Park Moore. They served pastorates in North Carolina and Mississippi before moving to Little Rock in 1983. Rev. Moore was an associate pastor at Second Presbyterian Church until retirement in 1990.
 
Betty Jean served in leadership positions in the woman’s program of the Presbyterian church having received four Honorary Life Memberships.
 
Survivors are Rodney (Terry) Moore of Reedsport, OR, Janie Rash and Aileen Moore of Little Rock, and grandchildren Michael Vitela of Little Rock, Lucy Vitela (Alex Walls) of Benton, and Jonathan Moore of Reedsport, and great-grandchildren Nova and Margo Jean Walls of Benton.
 
Memorial services will be held at Second Presbyterian Church at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 21, 2023. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Second Presbyterian Church, 600 Pleasant Valley Dr, Little Rock, AR 72227, Presbyterian Village, 500 Brookside Dr, Little Rock, AR 72205, or a charity of your choice.
