Biography: Nancy Baney McCarty passed away August 10, 2023. She was born July 16, 1948, in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Frederick and Virginia Baney of North Little Rock.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 48 years, Mike McCarty, her sister Carolyn Lasiter (Mike), step brother Wayne Wallace(Rebecca) and niece Shannon Lafferty.

Nancy graduated from North Little Rock High School in 1966, and later attended the University of Arkansas where she was a member of the Tri Delta Sorority. She went on to have a career as a flight attendant with American Airlines for 30 years. She and Mike enjoyed traveling extensively all over the world and were avid sports fan.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Ruebel Funeral Home.  Memorials may be made to Humane Society of Pulaski County 14600 Colonel Glenn Road, Little Rock AR 72210. Arrangements are under the direction of RuebelFuneralHome.com

So sorry, Mike, Carolyn and Wayne. Nancy was a sweetheart and I loved meeting Mike years ago. I understand she had some tough times in her last years, so she is free from those, but that doesn’t help her survivors. My thoughts are with you.

I will always remember watching Sid Bream slide across home plate and score the winning run for the Braves and the Joy (Screams)that erupted from all of us. Thank you for giving me this memory!
Rest easy as you deserve it and watch over your family…

You will always remain in my heart as my little sister and I couldn't have had a better one. I most certainly will always miss you and remember your gentle ways. You fought an unbelievable fight. One tough girl. Rest well and watch over those of us remaining who love you now and always.
