Biography: Today we celebrate the life of Robert Lee “Bob” Baine b. November 28,1949 in Houston, Mississippi – d. July 18,2022 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Preceded in death by his parents Billy Neille Baine and Dorothy Lucille Johnson Baine, Bob is survived by his wife, Cara Beth Gieringer Baine, two daughters Dorothy Elisabeth (Tyler) Whiteaker and Caroline Leigh (Paul) Nichols; grandchildren Baileigh, Ashley and Brock Whiteaker and Nora and Freddie Nichols; bonus stepdaughters Cara Gieringer, Kimber (Andrew) Londner and stepson Josh Gieringer; brothers Burt (Patricia), Bill and Brad (Kathy) Baine and sister Barbara (Keith) Langewisch, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and more friends than you can shake stick at.
 
Raised as an “Army Brat”, Bob and his siblings traveled the world before settling in Texas in the early 60s. After completing his education, Bob began a long and successful career as a Sales and Marketing executive, serving many years as Vice President of The Lawless Group in Dallas, Texas. Bob was fortunate to receive an opportunity to relocate to Little Rock in 2005 to serve as President of Global Manufacturing until retiring in 2014.
 
Immediately falling in love with Little Rock and Arkansas, Bob quickly made the decision to make a new home here. Bob and Beth met, fell in love and were married in 2013 and settled down to share their lives with each other.
 
Bob and Beth are active members at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church, where Bob served on the Board of Trustees, as well as several other boards before his illness. Bob taught the Koinonia Dialogue Sunday School Class and served as its president for several years. Bob and Beth were directly involved in the First Thursday Neighborhood Meal at St. Luke UMC and other mission projects.
 
Always an accomplished amateur golfer (he first “shot his age” at 68), Bob was a late-life convert to recreational tennis and made many new and great friends there. Bob also loved to cook, garden, read, teach, fish, dance and travel.
 
Bob was truly comfortable in almost every setting; making a presentation in a corporate boardroom or swappin’ stories at the nineteenth hole. He especially loved spending time with family and friends – particularly if there was a nice glass of wine to be shared.
