Biography: Jacob Selz Brown was born on August 6, 1967, to Nan Selz Brown and Robert J. Brown in Little Rock, Arkansas.  He died in Little Rock on June 8, 2022.
 
He is survived by his mother Nan Selz, his brother Micah Harley Brown, his nephews Joshua Selz Brown and Elijáš Hosek Brown, and his uncle Joe Selz (Yanyan Xie Selz).  He was predeceased by his father Robert J. (Bud) Brown, his sister Miriam Anne Brown, and his grandparents Miriam and Fred Selz.
 
After serving in the United States Army, Jacob graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock where he also received a master’s degree. He taught English as a Second Language there for several years. Jacob loved teaching and his students loved him.
 
Jacob will be interred in a private graveside service.  Memorials may be made to the Pulaski County Humane Society, 14600 Colonel Glenn Road, Little Rock, AR 72210 or the charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of RuebelFuneralHome.com

Condolences to Jacob’s family. Jacob was my student in the Master of Arts in Second Languages degree where he was a dedicated student and wrote a fine MA thesis. He was always very polite.

I taught with Jacob at UALR for many years. He was an excellent teacher and a great coworker. I am so saddened at his passing. My condolences to his family.

My sincere sympathy , Jacob was the Ringbearer at my wedding in 1973, we connected about a dozen years ago and stayed in touch, he never forgot my Birthday for the last dozen years via Facebook. Such a fine young man I greatly admired and loved. My thoughts & prayers are much with you today.
