Biography: CHARLES RICHARD BOLES, age 72, passed away suddenly on March 26, 2022, in his home in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born on August 20, 1949, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Known as Dick or Richard to his family and friends, he was predeceased by his wife Christy Rodman Boles, father Richard Eldon Boles, his mother Leah Marilyn Boles and his brother John Brian Boles.

Survivors include his brother Robert (Bob) Clark Boles of Wauwatosa WI, his sister Ann Marilyn Boles of Little Rock AR, nephew Spenser Stafford of Little Rock AR, and niece Savannah Boles of Chicago IL.

Dick was an army veteran who served in Vietnam in the late 60’s and early 70s. He graduated from Hall High School in Little Rock in 1967. He was a founding member of the Retreat Singers, based out of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Little Rock, with which he toured both nationally and internationally as well as appearing on the two released recordings of their music.

After his discharge from the Army he returned to Little Rock to work in his father’s two businesses: Kazuko Oriental Arts and Diversified Postal Services. Upon his father’s passing he transformed the business into a freelance moving company for which he was still operating at the time of his death. Dick enjoyed traveling, folk music (he was active for a time in the Little Rock Folk Club), being with friends and family, as well as connecting with long lost relatives and friends from the past.

A memorial will take place at a later date yet to be determined.

Dick was such a dear friend! We grew up together and were both founding members of the Retreat Singers. He is missed and gratefully appreciated for his love and service to his friends. May his Infinite journey be filled with Love and Light!
