Biography: Alma Louise “Happy” Weise, age 83, of Little Rock, died Tuesday, September 18, 2007, at St. Vincent Infirmary. She was born in Pine Bluff on April 18, 1924, to the late Bernhard and Alma (Kindervater) Weise. As an active member of First Lutheran Church, Happy served on the Altar Guild, and was a member of the FirstCare Board, the LWML Day Guild, and the chancel and hand bell choirs. She was a lover and supporter of animals and was a long-time employee of Bellevue Animal Clinic, from which she retired. Survivors include cousins, Dora Ann Bratton, Lois Richards Wisinger, Virginia Kindervater, Sandra Hoff and husband Dale, Sharyl Cheek and husband Paul, Janet Guminsky and husband Tom, Kathryn Craig and husband Shane, all of Little Rock, Matthew Cheek of Dallas, Texas, and several other cousins; and her beloved pets, Bonnie Beth and Patch. Visitation will be 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, September 21, 2007, at Ruebel Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at First Lutheran Church, officiated by Rev. Dean Bauer. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.
