Biography: Marcia Goodwin Zeno, affectionately known as Mimi, age 79, peacefully passed away on February 22, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family.
Marcia was born on August 20,1942 in Crossett, AR to the parents of Lila Mae and Vasco Goodwin. After graduating from Monticello High School. She attended Southern Arkansas University. On July 23, 1942 she married her husband Lary K. Zeno (Big L). Marcia and Lary moved to Winchester, AR where they raised their 3 children. She and Lary owned Zeno Buick/GMC in Dermott for 16 years before moving to Little Rock in 1991, then later to Bryant, AR in 2001.
Marcia was brilliant, beautiful, vivacious, stylish and talented. Marcia’s family was her world. She spent most of her past time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed the many weekends with her grandchildren at the Zeno family deer camp in Drew County and lake home in Hot Springs. Mimi loved fun outings with her girls shopping, while Big L spoiled the boys in the woods. She enjoyed family gatherings at her home eating home-cooked meals. Her favorite pastime was going to the casino and playing the slots. She taught us all what putting others first meant. She always put those she loved first and would have it no other way. Mimi was the best friend a daughter, daughter in law, and grandchild could ever dream of having. When there was a question of what to do or if we just needed direction, we called Mimi. There are no words the impact her passing has brought to our family. However, we are so thankful to have the promise of God’s word that we will see our loved ones again if we only believe in him. God truly blessed us with mother/Mimi, the greatest gift on earth. She was our life.
