Biography: Elizabeth (Lisa) Christine Fowler Fort, 52, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and dear friends, February 19, 2022.  Lisa was born in Dallas, Texas on December 18, 1969.  She graduated from Little Rock Central High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, in 1992, where she was a member of Chi Omega Fraternity.  After college Lisa moved to Little Rock and began working at Alltel Corporation rising to Area Vice President of Northwest Arkansas Operations. After ten plus years, Lisa then followed in her mother’s footsteps dominating the real estate community as an agent with Coldwell Banker RPM where she was a well-respected, reliable, successful, and a rock star real estate agent.

In 2011 she married the love of her life, David Eric Fort to whom she was married for many amazing years. They enjoyed countless travel adventures, evenings on the porch, sunset cruises on Lake Hamilton and endless hours on the beach in Seaside, Florida, with family, at their favorite home, East of the Sun. The most rewarding time they spent together would be with their three children, Jewell, David Jr. and Johnny, the absolute joys of their lives.  She never missed a chance to celebrate them and their many achievements or a minute of quality time, full of fun, love and laughter.

Lisa had an infinite love for her family and friends. Time spent with her parents, Nancy and Van, were always deeply cherished. She forever made you feel special, made you laugh and always made you listen to her favorite music as she knew every single word. Lisa loved her fur babies; Katie girl and Bailey the Stinker, a heated game of Spades with “no talking”, a good towel wrap, fashion, her Skinnygirl and her Skinny Cows, ordering multiple sides at the restaurant, the windows down, her new “kicks”, beauty products and always loved the opportunity to capture pictures of David as he reeled in the lunker.  And as we all played along, Lisa was always right! Lisa will be remembered as one of the most unnoticed supporters when those close to her were in need, never wanting to be recognized or praised for the good, the solid strength and stability she shared.  Lisa was loved by all, loyal, trustworthy and had a contagious smile that could light up a room and heartfelt interest in everyone in her life. Nights spent on the porch, singing by the fire, reminiscing and being surrounded by the ones she loved were treasured by all.  We will forever remember this remarkable, beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt and dear friend.

Lisa is preceded in death by her father Charles Edward Fowler, her grandparents Lib and Ben Alstadt, her great-grandparents Margaret and Clovis Wilkey and her god-mother Beverly Moore.

Lisa is survived by her devoted husband, David Eric Fort, and loving children, Jewell Murphy Fort, David Eric Fort, Jr. and John (Johnny) Hudson Fort, parents Nancy and Van Moore, siblings, Mark Moore (Chris), Vance Moore (Renee), and their children Mary Catherine, Mitchell and Shelby.  Lisa is also survived by a family of close loving friends who will miss her dearly: Lauri Allison, Ahron Couey, Patrick Donovan, Jennifer Enlow, Alex Golden, Regina Graham, Jessica Howard, Anne Kashata, Cindy Kilpatrick, Betsy Lavender, Mindy Moore, Elizabeth Shackelford, Lisa White and many, many others that were dear to her heart.

A visitation to celebrate Lisa’s life will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, 5pm-7pm at Ruebel Funeral Home, 6313 West Markham, Little Rock, AR 72205. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at 2:00pm at Saint Mark’s Episcopal Church, 1000 N Mississippi St, Little Rock, AR 72207, with a private interment to follow.

The family requests memorials be made to the St. Francis House, 2701 S. Elm St., Little Rock, AR 72204.  Arrangements are under the direction of RuebelFuneralHome.com

I will never forget Lisa. Her warm smile, that gosh forsaken beautiful hair. ….she simply could not be missed in a room. Although we ran in parallel circles (distanced mostly by Warriors and Tigers) Lisa always had a steady and consistent grace about her. From the rooms of cotillion, to the high brow car washes of Cantrell, and into adulthood- that smile and warmth that was uniquely Lisa never changed. Love and prayers to her family, David Fort, and that mighty, steadfast crew of Lisas Central High and Chi Omega crew!

David, Family, and Tribe: There is nothing we can say to take away the shock and pain you must be feeling right now. Please know that we are with you in spirit and sending positive energy your way. Lisa, in our hearts and minds, was a Phenomenal Woman. Maya Angelou defines that quite appropriately. Please take comfort in her words and voice, and know that this is how we and many others will forever remember Lisa. Phenomenal Lisa. XOXO. https://youtu.be/1BR9JTC0lto

My heart is broken after hearing this news. I first met Lisa when I was working with Nancy to sell my heights bungalow. Maybe Nancy knew I was going to want to see every available home in Little Rock before settling on a new house. I’m pretty sure we looked at 100 homes before purchasing. And Lisa was right there all the way exhibiting her genuine enthusiasm, learning about our family and making the journey fun. Her positive outlook rubbed off on all of us and there was no problem that was too big for her to check out. She was the kind of person you enjoyed being with- I can’t imagine this world with out her. She cared about the people she met and developed a personal connection with all of us. For her family and friends I know you have so many special memories to cherish. Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss.

David, words can’t express how sorry I am for your loss. Some of the fondest memories I have of my childhood are with Lisa. Like the saying goes, new friends know your stories but old, dear friends helped you write them. Lisa was one of those dear friends to me. I’m so blessed that we were able to reconnect over the years she sold my mom’s house. I especially liked hearing her stories about how much she loved your beautiful kids! I wish you all comfort and strength to get thru this difficult time. Lisa will always hold a special place in my heart. love , Grace Ann

To Lisa's family,
Please accept my deepest condolences for your loss. Like so many, I'm trying to process this news and come to terms with her tragic and sudden passing. Since we met in 1999, I have had nothing but positive things to say about Lisa Fowler.

Lisa interviewed and hired me to work for her in 1999 at Alltel in LR. I reported to and worked with her in some fashion over the next five years. Lisa was always leading by example and teaching with her actions. Measured, emotionally intelligent and ambitious in a way that was contagious. Lisa was a mentor to me before I knew what a mentor was. She led by example and with a rock solid integrity and self awareness that was contagious and admirable.

Polished and self aware, she would consider every option and seemingly always make the right call. The call that was right for the company and best for the people on her team for whom she was responsible. Lisa would often pull the curtain back and explain to me how she arrived at certain decisions. She was a mentor before I knew what a mentor was. I didn't realize at the time, but these talks helped me develop the tools I would use time and again as a leader responsible teams of my own.

I'm proud that I was one of Lisa's people. I was in her office on the morning of September 11th and watching her navigate the fear, uncertainty and emotional landmines of that day was awe inspiring. We immediately got in her car, went to a church and prayed for the victims, the country and one another. Then she sent us home because that was the best call on that particular day. We were all much younger then, but even through the lense of a kid in his 20's I noticed Lisa was special. Lisa was an ambitious, honest and accomplished leader, not to mention a compassionate human being. Im grateful for my time with Lisa and the countless lessons I learned from her. Lisa, you will be missed but the impact you had on me and many others will live on. Rest in peace, my friend.
Sincerely,
Todd Bryant

They say that death leaves a sting no one can heal, and love leaves a memory that no one can steal. If that’s true, then Lisa's biography illustrates an infinity of wonderful memories to hold on to.

I am so sorry for your loss and the pain you are feeling right now. Thinking of the family during this difficult time, and keeping all of you in my prayers.

Peace and comfort,
