Biography: Patricia Mary Nesfield, 71, died peacefully in her sleep at home Saturday, September 8, surrounded by her family and pets who loved her dearly. A New Jersey transplant, Aunt Patty, as she was known by all who knew her, moved to Arkansas to be with her only sister, Dolores Browers. Aunt Patty quickly became a devoted Razorback fan and loved calling the Hogs. She joined St. Mark’s Episcopal Church and was a devoted attendee until her health became too fragile for her to attend. She suffered a severe stroke in 1999 which stole her lively Eastern accented speech. Her oldest niece, Sharon, insisted on Aunt Patty living in her home after the stroke against everyone’s wishes. Aunt Patty enjoyed the life of a pampered princess; always the center of attention in the family. She was able to enjoy an amazing nine years of life due to the devoted care and attention of her special niece Sharon and her family. The family would also like to thank Aunt Patty’s special caregiver, Karrie. Patty was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Elizabeth Smith and her sister, Dolores Browers. She leaves to cherish her memory her niece Sharon Williams and husband Art, niece Elizabeth Barger and her husband, Bill , all of Little Rock. In addition, her nephew Billy Browers in Seattle, WA survives. Great nieces, Lauri Williams, Megan Witzke of Little Rock; great nephew Michael Williams and his wife, Erin of Little Rock; Mallory Barger of San Francisco, CA and Burke Patricia Browers of Modesto, California.. Aunt Patty was delighted to enjoy the delights of a third generation in Jade Witzke, her great, great niece. Patty was loved more like a mother than an aunt and in lieu of her own children, she loved us all as her very own. We will miss her greatly. Services will be at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 1000 N. Mississippi, in Little Rock on Wednesday, September 12 at 12 noon with internment of ashes in the columbarium immediately after. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Humane Society of Pulaski County or the March of Dimes.
