Biography: Mary Evelyn Glover Miller, age 96, died January 29, 2022. She was born on September 15, 1925, in Little Rock, Ark., to Helen Voyles Glover and David Delano Glover, Jr. She was the granddaughter of former Congressman and Mrs. David D. Glover of Malvern, and Rev. and Mrs. M. L. Voyles of Little Rock.

She attended Little Rock schools, graduated from Little Rock High School, and attended Henderson State College. Mary Evelyn, better known as “Boo” or ‘MaBoo” to her grandchildren, worked as a secretary during the WWII years at OPA, the FBI, and for the Commanding Officer at the Naval Station in San Diego, Calif.

In later years she worked at International Paper Company (IP) in Camden and was a life member of the Camden Junior Auxiliary. She transferred to the IP Shreveport office as secretary to the Regional Manager. Mrs. Miller and her husband Hugh retired from IP in 1985, moving to Hot Springs where they were members of Oaklawn United Methodist Church, and she fulfilled her dream of living on Lake Hamilton. After the death of Charles Hugh Miller, her husband of 30 years, she moved to Little Rock to be closer to her daughters.

Mary Evelyn was preceded in death by her sister, Gloria Glover Gossett, and her son-in-law, Dr. Fred C. Inman III. She is survived by daughters, Paula Pruitt Inman, of Conway and Deborah Pruitt King (Robert) of Little Rock, granddaughters, Leigh Inman Lowman (John) of Tucker, Ga., Laura Inman of New York, N.Y., and Megan Inman Bennett (Grant) of Conway, grandsons, Nathan King of Fayetteville, and Thomas King of Little Rock. The family would like to thank the nurses and caregivers at Presbyterian Village and Arkansas Hospice. A graveside service for the family will be held at a later time.
