On November 20, 2021, Johnette Bailey’s spirit peacefully left this Earth to spend eternity in Heaven.
She was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on April 23, 1927, the daughter of the late John F. Schilling
and Margaret Katherine (Findley) Schilling. Johnette married Francis Madison Gerstner Bailey on
September 21, 1946, and had one daughter, Lisa Bailey. Longtime residents of Shreveport, Louisiana
the family moved to Little Rock in 1963. Johnette was a devout Catholic, a founding member of Christ
the King Catholic Church, a child of the Great Depression, a war bride, a patient and loving mother,
grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Trimble, and her spouse, Mark Trimble. Three grandchildren;
Justin Trimble, Stephanie (Trimble) Allbritton, and Robin (Trimble) Powell. Four great-grandchildren;
Annabelle Allbritton, Knox Allbritton, Everett Powell, and Lochlan Trimble. She was preceded in death
by her parents, her husband of fifty-eight years, three sisters: Mary Elizabeth Langston of Shreveport,
Louisiana, Evelyn Herbert of Maumelle, Arkansas, Fidel Crow of Pleasanton, California and her
beloved granddaughter, Christy Trimble.
The funeral will be held on Monday, November 29th at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church in
Little Rock, Arkansas. Burial will follow at Forest Park Cemetery in Shreveport, Louisiana.
