Biography: Gloria June Tucker, (Granny to her favorite people- her grandchildren), went to be with the Lord on October 19, 2021. She was born August 21, 1929 in Little Rock, AR to Gladys and Erma Lambert. She grew up on a dairy farm where she learned a great work ethic.

June was a trailblazer as a manager for Dun and Bradstreet at a time when women didn’t typically have positions in management. She worked for Dun and Bradstreet for 35 years. She had fond memories of her friends and co-workers during that time.

June was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Carroll Tucker, her parents Gladys and Erma Lambert, and her brother, Don Lambert.

June is survived by her two sons, Don (Mary) Tucker, Dean Tucker (Caryn Cosper), and a daughter-in-law, Janis Tucker. Also, to cherish her memory are her precious grandchildren, Whitney (Kyle) Lunsford, Holly (Alan) Aldridge, Matt Tucker, and Courtney (Jacob) James. Granny treasured her 10 great grandchildren, Griffin James, Chapman Redam, Caleb Redam, Will Lunsford, Carter James, Kate Lunsford, Macy James, Collyn Aldridge, Aiden Aldridge, and Ace Aldridge. She also leaves a special sister-in-law, Peggy Lambert, and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

June loved her family and for over 50 years cooked a large dinner every Sunday night for her family and extended family. There was always room for one more around her dinner table. She also enjoyed reading and using her iPad until she was 91 years old. She loved to garden and grew tomatoes and other vegetables even at age 91.

After retirement, June and Carroll went on many adventures in their RV. On many of these trips their great grandson, Griffin, accompanied them. They loved traveling the United States and seeing the beauty of our country. Some of their favorites were New Mexico, Colorado, Alaska, Florida, and New York City.

Visitation will be held at Ruebel Funeral Home (6313 W. Markham St. 72205) on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021 at 10AM with a memorial service immediately following at 11AM.

June became involved with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation after her great grandson was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to this foundation, to Saline Memorial Hospice, or to any charity of your choice. Our family extends a very special thank you to Saline Hospice and Pleasant Hills Senior Services where Granny spent her last days.

Thinking of you all during this time. June was a terrific, kind, giving, and loving person to all. She was "Granny" to all that knew, were related to, or just met her. She invested in everyone's lives, without judgment, placing herself last (if even considering herself at all), and always truly cared to know about a person's life and how/what they were doing.

It's hard to imagine a world without June Tucker, my friend, co-worker, boss and most especially encourager in life. I'm saddened for all of us who knew and loved this great lady. Also sorry I will not be able to attend her visitation and service. Happy I was able to know her for over 50 years. Her light will forever shine in many hearts.
