Biography: Carole Jean Osmundsen, age 67, of Little Rock, died Wednesday, August 8, 2007, after a lengthy illness. Born in Oakland, Calif., and raised in Castro Valley, Calif., she devoted her life to helping children and the developmentally disabled. She was a houseparent at the I.O.O.F. Children’s Home, Gilroy, Calif.; houseparent at the Masonic Children’s Home, West Covena, Calif.; Caseworker at Hearts & Hands, Monterey, Calif.; Therapeutic Foster Parent with Family and Child Services of Washington, D.C.; advocate with the Arkansas Autism Society; Volunteer Coordinator with the Child Development Center at First United Methodist Church, Little Rock; and Case Manager with Integrity, Inc., Little Rock. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, John Osmundsen; her mother, Martha Adamson of Little Rock; daughters, Jessica Osmundsen of Little Rock, Kari Stuckey and husband Stephen (SRA, USAF), of Burwell, England, UK; brothers, Dennis Adamson and wife Ellen of McKinleysville, Calif., John Adamson and late wife Joan of Placitas, New Mexico; three granddaughters, Olivia, Zoey, and Skylee Stuckey, of Burwell, England, UK; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family members wish to express their appreciation to the administrators and staff of Allegiance Specialty Hospital of Little Rock at Southwest Regional Medical Center for the excellent tender, loving care provided to Carole during her lengthy stay in their facility. Committal services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 15, 2007, at Arkansas State Veteran’s Cemetery, North Little Rock, officiated by Rev. David Williams of First United Methodist Church, Little Rock. A memorial service, celebrating her life, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Integrity, Inc., 6124 Northmoor, in Little Rock.
