Biography: The Reverend Robert Atwood Regnier, of Little Rock died suddenly Thursday August 9, 2007, at St. Vincent Infirmary. He was born in Little Rock on December 16, 1933, to the late Dr. Waldo and Mary Greenhaw Regnier. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Irene Thornton Regnier, his children Elizabeth Regnier Sadler and husband Dave of Pine Bluff, Robert Regnier and wife April of Shawnee, Kansas; his grandchildren Adam and Michael Gates, Kristen and Kaitlin Sadler, and Regan, Addison, and Samuel Regnier. Reverend Regnier was a graduate of Hamburg High School, Hendrix College, and Duke Divinity School. He was a Methodist minister for 50 years serving pastorates in Bryant, Mt. Carmel, Douglasville, White Hall, Redfield, Associate Pastor at Pulaski Heights, Lake Village, Montrose, Dermott, Wesley in Pine Bluff, St. Luke’s in Little Rock, Warren, Good Hope, Wagnon, and Crossett. He served five years as the Monticello District Superintendent. He retired in 2004 after serving 13 years as the president of the Methodist Children’s Home. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 9, 2007, at Ruebel Funeral Home. There will be a funeral service Friday, August 10th, at 1:00 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church officiated by Dr. Robin Moore and the Reverend Carr Dee Racop.
