Helen and Dr Hall were my grandparents neighbors for forty years and they were the most kind , generous , and sophisticated people to know. They are both missed.

My heart is broken at the loss of your dear Mother. Life won't be the same without her, but I feel comforted knowing that she lives on in the hearts of many. It gives me peace knowing she's in the arms of Angels.
RIP my Mrs. Helen

What sad news for a lot of people. But, I know Helen is basking in the glory and happiness of heaven. Alistair and Michael have been waiting. I first met Helen when Michael and I became apartment mates at Hendrix. Probably the best word that comes to mind for me is elegant. And oh so proper and sophisticated. She was so classy that being in their home was actually a little intimidating for someone like me. She could regale me with stories of Canada and a whole host of other topics. My wife adored Helen as much as me. It seemed like every time she spoke to me it began with "Now listen Eddie......" As the years passed our relationship evolved into one of friendship when I would see her. Even so, she was always on a pedestal as far as I was concerned --- a tall one. That won't change.

Goodnight Helen, you sweet, sweet woman.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Hall family over the loss of Mrs. Hall. As college students, the Hall family was always welcoming and the parties were the best. I feel privileged to have been a guest in their home and enjoy the wit of Helen and Alastair.

I am so sad to think that my Aunt Helen is gone - but she will live on in our hearts and minds forever. When my cousin David reached out with the news I found myself thinking about all the great memories of times I shared with Helen and the rest of the family. My earliest recollections were of the Halls' annual summer visits to Montreal, and from there to Orford Lake - it was so exciting. Auntie Helen always took great interest in the kids (myself and my cousins) - we so looked forward to those summer visits. I was lucky enough to drive my Grandparents to Little Rock when I had just finished High School - visits to the condo at Hot Springs, touring Little Rock, etc. - Auntie Helen was the best. More recently, she visited our old home on Wolfe Island and made a particular connection with our daughter, Mary Alicia. Mary Alicia and I were lucky enough to get to Little Rock a couple of years ago - Helen was a great hostess for our visit and we saw her a lot. Always interested in everything, it was a great visit - we will hold on to those memories. My sister said it best when she painted the image of Helen and her sister Margie (my Mom) meeting in "heaven" and enjoying a cocktail and talking about all the good times - remarkable lives, an incredible generation and a life well spent. With love. ♥️♥️
