Biography: Owen Henry Garner, age 1 day old, died in his parents’ arms at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) in Little Rock, AR on May 7, 2021. After struggling with a condition known as Edwards Syndrome (Trisomy 18), he passed away gently into the arms of Jesus.

Owen is the son of Jonathan & Tara (Jordan) Garner of Little Rock. He was the answer to their prayers, and they waited for his birth with joyful expectation. During his brief time on earth, he loved being held close to his parents’ hearts and hearing sweet lullabies. Owen has left a legacy of love and faith that his family will continue to share for many years to come. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of UAMS in Little Rock, AR for the incredible care provided to Owen and the entire family; with special thanks to Dr. Adam Sandlin, MD of Maternal Fetal Medicine and Dr. Sara Peeples, MD of Neonatology.

Owen is survived by his parents Jonathan & Tara (Jordan) Garner; his two older siblings Gabriel & Isla Grace Garner; his grandparents Melissa & the late Robert Anthony of Little Rock, AR; Alex & Cathy Jordan of Little Rock, AR; Greg & Toni Garner of Paragould, AR; Alisa & Eric Washington of Paragould, AR. Owen is also survived by numerous great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 10:00 am at Fellowship Bible Church- Chapel, 1401 Kirk Rd., Little Rock, AR, 72223. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Support Organization for Trisomy in honor of Owen at www.trisomy.org/donate/.
