Biography:
Virginia Doggett Reeves, 97, of Little Rock, passed away April 23, 2021. She was born October 20, 1923 in Nimrod, Arkansas to Samuel and Oda Katherine Taylor Doggett.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, James Daniel "Dan" Reeves, and her parents.
Virginia grew up in Little Rock and received her B.S. Ed and her Master's Degree from Arkansas State Teachers College, where she was a member of the Kappa Kappa Iota sorority. She was a proud elementary teacher in the Little Rock School District for many years. Virginia was a member of Second Baptist Church in Little Rock for over fifty years and she loved to travel, read, and sing.
She is survived by her beloved sister and best friend, Annie Marie Wycoff, and a host of other family members.
A graveside service will be held at Oakland Cemetery in Little Rock on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at 10:00am., officiated by Rev. Dr. Preston Clegg.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Second Baptist Church Downtown, 222 East 8th Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72202.
