Biography: James Dennis Stephens, 59 of Alexander passed away at his home March 25, 2021.   Dennis was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas on July 22, 1962.  

Preceded in death by his father, Sidney Stephens.  He is survived by his mother, Betty Jo Stephens; sister, Cindy Witkowski; brother-in-law, Jim Witkowski; niece, Katy Manning and her husband, Tomas Manning, multiple aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws.

Dennis served 6 years in the Army National Guard where he specialized in multichannel communication equipment.   He retired from the O’Neal Steel where he worked as a plasma cutting machine operator.  

Hobbies included fishing, boating, restoring his 1974 Ford Bronco, and spending time with family and friends.  Dennis was a loving, kind, gentle, soul, who would open his home to those struggling.   He was known as “Dino” by his close friends.   He will be missed.

Dennis’ family has planned a private service to be conducted at his mother’s home on April 8, 2021.  They appreciate the outpouring of love and support received and would like to celebrate Dennis’ life publically when it is safe to do so.     

Memorials can be directed to Zion Lutheran Avilla food bank or Bryant Methodist Church.
