Biography: Vernon Wilson Stiles, age 91, of Little Rock died July 22, 2007. He was born in Huntsville, Alabama in 1915 to the late Samuel Payne Stiles and Jennie Pickett Stiles. He grew up in Scott, Arkansas after his family relocated in 1916. He graduated from Little Rock’s Central High School in 1934 and attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. He was a member of the 81st Wildcat Division of the US Army having served in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He was a Chief Warrant Officer in New Caldonia and Occupied Japan. After working for Lewis Diesel Engine Company he formed his own business, Stiles Communications Company in Little Rock. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sue Patterson Stiles, and a sister, Ernestine Keese. He is survived by his sons, Payne Stiles of New Orleans, and Wilson Stiles of Little Rock; his sisters, Mattie Helen Tull of North Little Rock, and Yvonne Meredith of Enid, OK, his brother, Sam Stiles of Little Rock. He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Jay, Russell, Ryan and Lauren Stiles all of New Orleans, LA. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral with the Very Reverend Henry Hudson officiating. Burial will follow in the Trinity Episcopal Garden. Sam and Carolyn,

We want to again offer our condolences to you in the loss of your brother and brother-in-law. While we didn't know Wilson, we had heard you talk about him over the years and hope you have a peaceful feeling in your heart about his passing that assures you he is in a better place now.
