Biography: Dorine "Dodie” Neil Henry,84, of Little Rock, was called home by Our Father on December 11th. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on March 7th, 1936 to Ethel and Carl Neil.
On September 26th, 1953, after a courtship of only two weeks, she married the love of her life Donald “Bobo” Henry. They had four children Debbie, Donnie, Diane, and David.
She loved. That is how those who knew her best would describe Dorine. She loved being a sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend. She was the first one to tell a joke and even in her last days, she was always finding a way to make doctors, nurses or anyone around her laugh. She was an incredibly talented artist and cook. In 1980, she opened Casey’s Bar-B-Que with Diane and David by her side. Her husband Don would later join them. Dorine loved being around people, her home was host to every family gathering whether for an Easter egg hunt, Christmas morning, or family visiting from Ohio. You would often find her at the kitchen table playing cards with her children and grandchildren. Dorine was known for pouring into every one of her grandchildren teaching them to cook, how to paint, how to play cards, and how to love others well.
Her legacy will continue on through her surviving children Diane Williamson and David, son-in-law Robert Johns, sister-in-law Jeanette; grandchildren: Jennifer, Jessica(Tyler), Judith(Tyler), Lauren(Philip), Angela, Lindsey, Landon, Mary, and Johnny;8 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
