To the family of Mary Gayle, I am a former classmate of Mary Gayle's at Jacksonville High School. Way back in the mid l930's, she and I were in the same Sunday School Class at Zion Hill Baptist Church, not far from Sumner Cemetery. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. God bless.

I am sorry I was unable to attend the sevice. I graduated from Jacksonville High School with Mary Gayle; our class was very small and we were all very close. I will always remember her sweet spirit and great smile. May God give comfort and peace to her children and grandchildren.
Love and prayers,
Betty Tompkins

My maiden name was Joann Hodges and Mary Gayle is my first cousin My mother was Ethel McPherson daughter of Sam McPherson brother of Jess. Mary Gayle and I used to visit each other when we were kids and I remember Aunt Elsie would place a chair next to the door so Mary Gayle couldn't walk out the door in her sleep**** we both had a tendency toward sleep-walking! We had a lot of good times together. I will always remember her radiant smile.
