One of the formative experiences of my young life occurred at the Children's Panhellenic Library, which in the 1960s was located in the Country Club area of the Heights in Little Rock. In the mid 1960s, I found a book at the Panhellenic Library which lit up my soul. It was titled So You Want to Be a Writer. Finding that book set a trend in my life. Over the course of the following decades, I would become a writer in various genres and topic areas. The fact the library was present in my childhood helped to make that happen. Thank you to all the sorority women who established and operated the library. This includes Mary Ann Nilles. Her service to the community and to the world are much to be appreciated and respected.

We are so sorry to hear about your mom’s death. She was a great godmother. She was able to tell me things about my mother and her family that I didn’t know. We kept up with each other after your dad passed away. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to keep in touch after we moved away. She lived a full and rich life and I know you will miss her terribly.

We always had a grand time at CCLR. Her and Mr Nilles were top-notch with me and others that surrounded us. I was sad when Donald died, so much more so hearing this. I truly admired your mother, grandmother. The symphony, the chit-chat sessions and especially the travel talk. I so hope you understand how wonderful and gracious your mother was and how much I have missed her and now know how much she is rejoicing as she now lives with her beloved Don again and her maker, Jesus.
