Biography: Dana Louise Green, of North Little Rock, passed away at home on Wednesday, March 25, 2020.
She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on October 14, 1948 to Jacklyn Brown Gibson and Walter Helem Green, Jr. who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Walter Helem “Wally” Green, III and a son, William Joseph Robben. She is survived by the love of her life, John Edward Robben and children: Jacklyn Grobmyer Powell (Jimmy), John Whitmore Robben (Catherine) and Mary Kathryn Robben DiGiacomo (Jason): a brother, Gary Ralph Green and grandchildren: James Moxley Powell, III, Michael Edward DiGiacomo, Emma Grace DiGiacomo and John Frederick Robben as well as her very best friend, Georgie Shofner Maher.
Dana attended Hall High School and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She graduated from Katherine Gibbs School in New York City where she sold real estate.
Dana was a devoted wife and mother. She was a beautiful light who loved her family and friends fiercely. Whatever she did, she gave it her all. She had a wonderful sense of humor and would put a positive spin on anything. She has amazing faith in God and put her faith to works whenever she could. Dana was blessed with many talents and she gave them away on a daily basis. She had many friends from coast to coast as she touched the lives of all that crossed her path.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date that will be published when finalized. She was a sober member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 39 years and the family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her honor to Arkansas AA Central Office, 7509 Cantrell Road, Suite 106, Little Rock, AR 72207.
Please know that my heart goes out to you both at this time. The passing of family members is one of life's greatest trials, but I am certain that, knowing you both, the days ahead will also be filled with heartwarming memories of your mother and sister. You each have very strong spirits and a special kind of faith that is both rare and beautiful. God bless you both. All my love.
